Santa Obviously Has Little Regard for His "Naughty or Nice" Policy

Nathan definitely falls into the "naughty" catagory yet he made out like a bandit. He was sliding into home on the right, on the left he is being covered in shreddings (grandma will not do that again).

This is what the tree and presents looked like before the attack. Actually Nathan lost interest and didn't finish opening until the next day. William, also on the "naughty" list models the goggles he got with our family set of nerf rapid fire machetties (I don't know how to spell that). He won't have that look on his face once he finds out how bad they sting when they hit you. I found out upside the head courtesy of Keith ("I wasn't aiming for your face").

Here little naughty Nathan stole Williams camera and wouldn't give it back. William models uncle Jeffs glasses. It will take some elbow grease to get all of those smudges and finger prints off. No, he doesn't have grandkids of his own. He would have already learned that lesson.

Nathan has been getting very comfy in his Elmo chair that he got in Ft. Wayne.

The "Yo Gabba Gabba" shirts I made for us, because it is our favorite show. THAT'S AWESOME!! Wanna see our Dancey Dance? And remember "Dont Bite Your Friends"

William makes the mistake of inviting his brother to sit on his lap. A wrestling match ensued. Looks like Nathan is picking the nits off of William.

Guess who did this on not one, but three of our oak doors? We believe in organic, cage free kids around here.

William made his first snow angel. I was really quite impressed.

Never a Dull Moment: However, One Would Be Nice Every Now and Then

We ordered a family set of #89 Hummel jerseys. William's goes to his calves and Nathan's goes all the way to the floor. That is ok, because they were an investment and they will be able to wear them for a long time!!

Nathan isn't sure which he likes more, markers or cake. He colored all over himself. He even took off his socks and colored on his feet. They were water based and came right off in the bath. Yeah, I just let him do it. You get desperate sometimes. It bought me a few minutes of peace and quiet. The cake was for Papaw McGraw's birthday. We wont mention which one. William, always the showman. He is the "encourager". Nathan would get in a bit less trouble if he didn't have the one man cheering section.
Aren't we special???? I love my little preps. Enjoy, until the Christmas update...

Crashing the Ewing's Neighborhood

Trick or treat was last Thursday. We invited ourselves to Dustin and Tera's neighborhood because we live in the country and there is no where to trick or treat. We even strong armed grandma into coming to hand out treats so that we could all walk with the kids. The Littleton's crashed as well. I don't think the local kids minded too badly because we brought a ton of candy.
Nathan, in his two right boots, was hilarious. His basket got so heavy it was pulling him over and he fell down about 112 times. He would let us help him carry it over his dead body. He ran as much as he could from house to house until his bag got to heavy. We had a great time, the weather was nice and the company was awesome. It was a really nice neighborhood. They treated the kids very well.

A Trick or Treat Hayride er...Dirty Truckbedride

It was the Naugle annual trick or treat hayride and the debut of the costumes. Nathan was born for looting. He muscled his way to the front of every line to get the goodies. I had the boots for his costume shipped to our house in July, I didn't check them carefully and when I got them out of the box the day we needed them, they were both for the right foot and one was discolored. Sorry Nathan, you still have to wear them until trick or treat is over because we can't get another pair in his size.

As we were loaded up on the hay wagon and about to embark on our journey, someone noticed that the wagon had a flat tire, hence the dirty truck beds.

Defecating in the Corn Maze

We made a trip to a local farm for some fall fun.

This is right before Nathan snapped it.

Helping each other out in the maze.

Looks like William is peeing and Nathan is taking a dump. Nathan fell so many times that he gave up tring to catch himself. I had to pick dirt and debris out of his mouth and his nose was covered in dirt. "are you alright?" "yeah" every time. It was so funny.

Like A Faded Gold Cowboy (Mime)

You just never know what you're going to get at the Prairie Peddler. He was a cowboy mime. He interacted with William for quite a while. They drew a crowd.
They are both naturals.

The Party Phase 3

Nathan spies the big gifts, wait for it , wait for it, let William get distracted and then sneak away with a big present. It was very funny. He could barely lift it, let alone sneak away with it. He chose a dino theme.
William, Jessica and grandpa Hummel put together the new mummy puzzle from grandma and grandpa Hummel.

A chip off the ol block. Nathan goes on a preparty pony ride. For those of you who don't know, a horse head on a stick was my favorite toy as a kid.

Phase 2 The Day

Making paper mache planets.

A Cars cake to share with school friends. He even got to wear a special crown.
William, with a little help from grandma 1, chose to go to Red Lobster for his birthday dinner. Yes!!!! Can you believe that a kid who only eats peanutbutter and grilled cheese will eat shrimp?

The Birthday Phase 1

A visit from grandma and poompa. I love the look on Nathan's face. I didn't realized Nathan and poompa matched.

A Wild Hair

The pieces to this have been in my hutch since January and for some reason today was the day. I just wanted to put it together. I didn't have a plan, I just threw on some beads and twisted some wire. I want to add some ribbon, but I don't have any that I like.
Becky took Tera, Mandy and myself to The Glass House for Christmas and we made the fused glass. It is very theraputic to break glass. I highly reccommend it.

Nathan Fought the Law and the Law Won

An oldie, but a goodie.
Nathan is a juvenile delinquent. He ran away from us at the football game (not out of sight, just daddy wasn't real fast at catching up to him, we don't let him "run away"). He got mixed in with the refs as they were leaving the field and the sheriff just so happened to be behind the refs and he picked up Nathan. Thats right, he got picked up by the cops. Now hes got a rap sheet and the top of the list is "wreckless wandering". I don't know what we are going to do with this kid.

Sorry I have been slacking with the camera. I know it is highly unusual of me.

A Buckeye in the Family

When I say "family" I mean that pretty loosely. I was friends with #89s mom before I knew her as a family member. Garrett, #89s, dad is Keith's dads 1st cousin. So that makes Garrett and Keith further cousins apart. I taught with Terri and that is how we became friends. Not the "family" connection.
Garrett made it as a walk on back in January. I like to keep my students posted because I think it is neat for them that one of their own made it on to the team. It's a dream big and work hard kind of thing. They are so lacking for positive role models.

These pics were taken on media day. They are Terri and Deny, his parents and Tiffany and Brooke his older sisters.

These are important players I think, but I don't know who they are. I do know 17 is the quarterback.
