Bunnies, Baskets and Bacteria

Of course the Easter bunny came. Hooray. Actually bunny doesn't shower the Hummel boys with much candy. They got their swimming clothes etc...bubbles, kites and a little candy. We went to grandma and pa one's on Saturday. It was at that time that the bacteria was really setting in. I had to brace myself to swallow. When I woke up Sunday I couldn't take it anymore. My neck and throat were under attack. I threw the baskets at the kids, took a picture and made way for the ER. They all went to great aunt Sue's for an Easter party with the Hummel's and mom got to rest and enjoy her Easter bacteria.

We forgot the Easter buckets and Nathan found the pumpkin for egg hunting. That's my boy!!!! William hicked it with a Kroger bag. I'm such a good mom, wait I had strep throat.

Risk Taking-Dying Easter Eggs

Yes, I do enjoy life on the wild side. We colored eggs at the Y the weekend before and Nathan loved it. I had already planned on doing it at home, so we were ready to go. He did really well. He only dunked a corner of his sleeve in the blue (it came out) and none was spilled by either participant. William is very neat and tidy, so I wasn't worried about him making a mess. Plus, he had done it before. There were tears when I made them stop.

Soccer, Now That's A Sport

William is going to start soccer on Monday, March 31st. Nathan received his own soccer gear from grandma one for Easter. He kept the shin gaurds on all day. He isn't going to be much fun when William gets to play and he doesn't. I am sure he will be a hit in his Bob Bob guards and matching ball at all of the games.

Worth The Effort

Playing in the snow is all fun and games. But getting them ready is a major undertaking. Keith and William pack the snowman together.
Our finished product. It didn't even last 24 hours, but it was so cute.

Nathan was sneaking some buttons off of the snowman and I thought it would make a great shot. I was right. That is so cool. I love those windmill sunsets.

William launches a snow ball from the snow hole Keith made. Keith also made us a run in the front yard for the sled. I enjoyed it the most.

Monkey do.

Nathan launches a whammy on William.

Yes, that is Nathan jumping through the air. He was aiming for the hole. He was successful. He had his 2 year check up. "Boy he's solid" 30lbs, 36 inches tall. 90th for height and 75th for weight. Same as last time. To me his speech seems behind, but he is actually ahead for what is required for his age. If I didn't have William (Mr. Smarty) to compare him to he wouldn't seem like such a cave man.

We're Just Chillin

Nathan celebrated his 2nd birthday on Monday. The party was Saturday. Grandma 1 got him a hat and glasses which he obviously loved. He likes to accessorize.

He blew out both of his candles and managed to get cake on himself. Problem solved.

I got out their winter gear to go sledding and Nathan wouldn't let go of his. It was pretty funny. He kept trying to put it on. He got the hat right as you can see.

Ok, that is so cute. Look at their faces!!!

William had just belted me upside the head with a snowball. And yes, he is wearing my girly scarf, Nathan is also but it is black and you can't tell.

What a face. Oh, here you can see the girly scarf. I love this picture.
