Nathan Fought the Law and the Law Won

An oldie, but a goodie.
Nathan is a juvenile delinquent. He ran away from us at the football game (not out of sight, just daddy wasn't real fast at catching up to him, we don't let him "run away"). He got mixed in with the refs as they were leaving the field and the sheriff just so happened to be behind the refs and he picked up Nathan. Thats right, he got picked up by the cops. Now hes got a rap sheet and the top of the list is "wreckless wandering". I don't know what we are going to do with this kid.

Sorry I have been slacking with the camera. I know it is highly unusual of me.

A Buckeye in the Family

When I say "family" I mean that pretty loosely. I was friends with #89s mom before I knew her as a family member. Garrett, #89s, dad is Keith's dads 1st cousin. So that makes Garrett and Keith further cousins apart. I taught with Terri and that is how we became friends. Not the "family" connection.
Garrett made it as a walk on back in January. I like to keep my students posted because I think it is neat for them that one of their own made it on to the team. It's a dream big and work hard kind of thing. They are so lacking for positive role models.

These pics were taken on media day. They are Terri and Deny, his parents and Tiffany and Brooke his older sisters.

These are important players I think, but I don't know who they are. I do know 17 is the quarterback.

Nathan, Can You Say Busy?

We are still here. William and I have started back to school. He is more excited about it than I. Because when I say I am back to school, that means teaching and going to college, which is a real drag (the college part). I graduate in May.

William is so excited to be back. He has been making up stories about kids calling him stupid head and being spit on. According to his teacher neither of those things happened. William can also write Will and he is trying real hard to write William. He is also very into 100 piece puzzles. He didn't get that from me. I can't do 100 piece puzzles.

Nathan is finally talking more. He says bye all the time, hi, yeah, no, wow, whoa, wheee, block, juice, moo, mom, dad. We got in a little trouble with the Dr. because we weren't trying hard enough to make him talk. He has had a 102 fever all weekend. But he has no symptoms of anything else. 2 year molars? He has all of his other teeth. He went to his first Crestview football game on Friday.
Sorry the pictures are old ones that I didn't post before. I have been to busy to even take pictures.
We spent Labor Day weekend in Troy with grandma and grandpa Hummel. The kids had a good time. We went to a festival and they rode the ponies. William rode without a side spotter for the first time. He wants a pony really bad. Which works out great because I want to get him one. I'm still bitter that no one did that for me.
