"I Don't Want That" and other Warm Christmas Memories of 2008

December 28th. Christmas with mom, Jamie, Dustin, Tera and Everett. One of these days I will put the pix on in order! William shows off his Lego Rescue Helicopter. He has been really wanting that. He just put it together today. Ripping it up. Helmet Heroes. Nathan loves dressing up and running so this is great.

William chose a gift for Everett. It is from China and is probably laden with lead paint. It was from the secret shop at his school. All of that stuff is cheapo.

William "I remember when it was just me. Now I've got 2 yahoos to deal with"

Everett has the right idea.

Christmas with the McGraw's. Lots of kids=lots of fun. December 27th.

Daryl and Terri came over on the 26th. Nathan got the Geo Hairplane. Yes, that is what he calls them. There was fighting because according to William that is what he had always wanted. News to me!!

Nathan is holding the infamous "I don't want that" gift.

Eating a choco pretzel rod like an ear of corn is nice and messy. Just the way he likes it. How else are you going to get the choco off? Duh?

Grandma Barb, Jennifer and Jessica came over Christmas night. Barb got Nathan an easel. Without a word he ran to his room and put on the apron. The kid on the box was wearing one. He is so funny. He keeps us going.

William got Spike. It is huge and really cute.

Nathan gets comfy for present opening. Its gonna be a long haul.

The boys discovered another one of their cousins Christmas Day at Great Grandpa Hummel's. It was kind of more that he discovered them though. His name is Grant but Nathan kept calling him Gramp. Very funny. At one point Gramp was looking at Nathan and Nathan said "what do you want?" Nathan wasn't sure what to make of Gramp.

Santa came and brought them the helicopters that they always wanted. Mainly because they were the last toy they saw before they sat on Santa's lap. You know the kiosk set up in the mall. Actually these aren't those helicopters. William is so creative with his ideas and Nathan is a copycat.

The snack they left for Santa. Cow cookie, grapes, clementine and a Capri Sun. And a football game, thanks Keith.

Christmas Eve at Ma Pigs.

Christmas in Ft. Wayne on the 20th. This is cousin Cole. The scene that followed was not for the weak of heart.

This is what Nathan thought of Williams school program.

Nathan is all decked out for the big guy. I tell ya he is something else. He is always in trouble. There is a reason he is so stinking cute.

Happy Thanksgiving!! Lack of Cooperation...

Gotta love the Target $ spot. Obviously they were very wiggly for the picture and I finally gave up.

Another Crack At Zoolights

Last year when we went to Zoolights we got about an hour, it was 20 degrees colder and it was raining.

We had a really good time, but by the time it got dark enough to enjoy the lights, the boys were getting pooped out.

Open the Door!!!!

Gonna be lazy here, but I don't want to wait for pix to download again so you are just going to enjoy sideways.
We went trick or treating again at Dustin and Tera's. They didn't get to hang out with us this year because for some reason Tera didn't want to be pregnant anymore. N E way. We had a good time. Nathan was all about it. He ran and would yell "I want a treat" and if they didn't open the door fast enough he would yell "hey" or my favorite "open the door!" Darth crashed in his car seat on the way home.

Here Darth is having a melt down because he wasn't allowed to swing in the state troopers tree swing. He didn't understand that Darth Vader doesn't frolic. Darth's mommy ended up carrying him.

William was very Ironman. He acted just like a big kid and he mainly was a blurr the entire time.

Nathan told me circles and I let William draw the face and I cut it out. They turned out very nice and spooky

Darth Vader Has a Soft Side

It was trick or treat hayride day. They both were all about it of course. It was hard to keep Darth out of his candy. He likes pink nerds a lot.
Darth had to take a moment from the looting to cuddle his favorite kitten.

Watch out for these bad/goodies. Iron Man isn't a bad guy.

Stace dressed her kids up as 50% of the Village People. Had I known, my kids would have made up the other 50%. I could have scrounged up an indian and a sailor. Cracked me up.

Honey Haven Farm 08

We were no match for the corn maze, but we sure look cute!
William found a pumpkin shaped like a peanut.

Nathan found one as big as him.

As you can tell by Williams hair, it was unseasonably warm on this October day.

Waitin for the horse drawn wagon to take us to the pumpkin patch.

Wake Up Chuck E!!!!

We allowed William to have his birthday party at Chuck E Cheese (aka The Devil) since he was turning 5, which I guess is a big deal. I hate Chuck E Cheese. Not because of the concept, but because I don't like being in such a small area with so many snot nose brats that don't know how to behave. I can't punish kids outside of school, so it is painful when I am helpless amongst bratty kids.
Nathan was tearing it up at the air hockey.
The theme was Star Wars. We invited family and the boys from the soccer team.
Yeah, a personal photo with Chuck E himself. What a treat.
And here is one of those above mentioned kids I was talking about. She was just kinda on her own, getting into the boys stuff.

...and Summer is Over

William always wants me to take a picture of his mug.
?????? This was at the surprise party we had for Grandma & Grandpa Hummel.
Nathan likeys the sleepy. What a face.
Oh look we went to another fair.

We just can't get enough of those Lorakeets. We were the first ones in so they were nice and hungry. Nathan had one land on his head.
Nathan's first fishing trip. Both boys managed to get a fish. Neither hooked themselves or anyone else, impressive.
Nathan is the goat whisperer. All the goats got a good grooming that day. Comb in one hand, brush in the other. William could care less. Their butts need a good c0mbing too!!!!
He is the character.

Look at that form. This is also during the surprise party. Again William could care less. Actually he was running around playing with his cousins. Nathan likes the sports.
