The Kalahari Trip That Was

Obviously my camera made it home, with me, from Kalahari. And I even took pictures with it. We had a great time. Thank goodness Grandma Barb, cousin Jessica and Aunt Jennifer came because lets just say a hotel room with two little boys for 4 days gets real old and it is nice for mom and dad to get a little break from them. We even got to try out the grown up water slides.
This is a great place for families. There is a ton to do in the water and there is a ton to do inside. We stayed at the resort from Sunday afternoon until Thursday morning. They absolutely love the indoor play area and the kid friendly restaurant had contests and dancing. I loved William's limbo moves. He was hilarious. We participated in games and activities that were put on throughout the day.

It looks like the Hummel boys took time out to check out the babes.
William at times was like taking our little grandpa. He didn't want anything to do with pesky kids splashing him. His favorite water activity was sitting in the hot tub. I guess it made his achy 3 year old joints feel better!!

Nathan our little daredevil went alone down slides and was always soaking wet.

Big Prizes, Some Pig and The New Super

Here we are at the Richland Co. Fair. We came out 4 times because we were exhibitors. William and I won a grand total of $22 with our wares.

William couldn't get enough of the rabbit and poultry barns. He loved petting the rabbits, like this one that looks like a poodle. He enjoyed riding the rides. He made it easy for us, he just kept riding the ferris wheel and the Batmoblies over and over again.

Uncle Dustin and Aunt Tera met up with us a night. Nathan couldn't get enough of them. He likes to hang out with Dustin all the time because he knows Dustin will share his goodies with him.

Nathan got to have his first ice cream cone. He didn't do to bad actually. Except now he likes to savor it and I end up having to take it away from him because it starts to melt.
I am supposedly going to be the new "super" for the hobbies section in the arts and crafts barn. It pays $8/day during the fair. You do the math, how could you walk away from that????

Welcome to the OOL...Hopefully no P but plenty of barf

William is officially a swimmer. He just kicks around in his life jacket. This is the first summer since having children that swimming is fun again. Nathan doesn't even need to be held. He just floats around in his little tube. He even kicks his little feet. When you first put William in the water he kicks so hard that he loses all of his energy.
William started gagging on water and he threw up in the pool. I must say that is the first time I knowingly swam in puke. In June when we went swimming Nathan had diarreah in the pool. Hopefully his little swimmer kept it in, but I guess we will never know. Would you rather....swim in puke or diarreah????
